This recipe is from my sister Beth Fitzsimmons Madden. Beth lives in Kansas City, Missouri. She serves it often at neighborhood block parties. It has become a favorite among family and friends. When my daughter went away to college in Poughkeepsie, NY, I used to bring a container of said frozen chile to leave with her. It was so popular among her friends that I had to email the recipe. It has now spread far and wide. I have also shared it with friends here in Connecticut and have made it for them upon request.
I asked Beth where this chili originated from. It was not something that we were ever served at our home of origin. Beth said that she clipped it from some magazine.
